We present the advances and actions that the City’s Government has taken since several years ago in order to substantially improve public spending quality. Introduction
The Results-Based Budget is an innovative procedure of resource assignment which is being implemented by the Mexico City government within a broader methodology called Development Effectiveness. The RbB consists, mainly, in assigning resources to public projects and programs, based on measurable results. In order to do this, it relies on an Evaluation System based on Results (ESbR) fed by a group of indicators, tailor made to our City. The RbB is a tool that benefits all because it promotes Transparency, Rendering of Accounts and above all: Effectiveness. |
