Results Management

Center the dialogue on results on the process stages, from planning, execution, up to evaluation.

This way, when planning the expected results and its impact on the people will be set; in the execution progress will be monitored in order to evaluate and identify the necessary intermediate adjustments, and finally, the results will be evaluated against the objetives.


Align the programming, monitoring and evaluation with the results.

The activities always support directly the results defined in the planning or programming. Also, the indicators and the strategies for monitoring and evaluation are linked to the effects and impact desired with the final point of showing whether the results are being reached or the necessary adjustments have to be made.


Keep results reports generation system as simple, economic and user friendly as possible.

The results are measured through the selective, economic and realistic indicators which serve as the basis for evaluation and performance information and for decision making on necessary adjustments. Furthermore, risk and institutional development indicators are used in order to follow key context changes that can influence the results accomplishment.


Manage for, not by results, by organizing the resources in order to accomplish the results.

The expected results are clearly defined in the programs and then the required resources and inputs are later identified in order to achieve these results. The responsible units have the flexibility to organize such resources as necessary in order to reach the desired results as the project moves forward. If the key goals are not reached, we analyze why the plans or strategies have gone off course, how they can get back on track and then constructively take corrective measures so that these results are reached.


Use the results information for administrative learning and decision making, as well as information on delivering reports.

The information obtained through continuous performance assessment should be easily accessible to all directly involved. Weather positive or negative, performance information is used to support constructive and proactive decision making and to foster learning.  The performance evaluation and reports delivering for results achievement also take into account the external risks and makes the corresponding adjustments.
